At the end of another year of change and uncertainty, we at La Luz Center find much to be grateful for: New leadership and passonate staff, a community dedicated to helping our friends and neighbors weather the ongoing pandemic, and our role as a vital hub of trust in Sonoma Valley.
The trust placed in us by the families we serve - and you, our donors - is reflected through our commitment to our mission to strengthen community through family services, economic advancement and community engagement. We:
  • Distributed $519,023 in relief aid and rental assistance in the last 18 months
  • Supported 1,500+ families with health, legal, and early childhood education programs
  • Helped clients receive $169,000 in tax refunds through our tax prep project
  • Encouraged 250+ adults to continue their education through our English Language, Computer Literacy, and Wellness programs
  • Engaged 4,120+ community members in cultural, educational and civic events
  • Connected 7,000+ individuals with culturally-relevant information about vaccines, test sites and other critical safety news
Through it all, La Luz Center has been there ready to serve and meet Sonoma Valley’s emerging needs. From supporting families as they adjust to their post pandemic lives with vital everyday needs, to providing a sense of hope and inspiration. We continue to be invested in our commitment to our community, to serving the most vulnerable, and developing programs that offer a brighter future for our families.
Join us! Together we can continue to strengthen not only our clients, but our community.
With deep appreciation,
